Job Vacancy: Electrical Switchgear & Control Foreman

Position:Electrical Switchgear & Control Foreman
Hours of Work:Full Time – 37.5 Hours per week

Reporting to:Production Manager
Start Date:To be agreed
Duration:Permanent

Remuneration Package:

  • £19.06 – £20.90 per hour dependant on experience
  • 22 days annual leave plus Statutory Bank Holidays
  • SSP – in accordance with government regulations

    your contribution up to 6%

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Excellent Engineering skills and some Testing experience.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings and fault find
  • Ability to communicate with customers
  • Strong Communication, team working and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-active & attention to detail essential.
  • computer skills, Word, Excel Outlook.
  • 5 to 10 years relevant industrial experience.
  • Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • Good communication & organisational skills essential.
  • Ability to use own initiative.

Job specification / duties

Duties detailed below but not limited to:

  • The management and coordination of switchgear production.
  • Training and development of staff.
  • Develop and improve production and testing process and procedures.
  • Final quality checks on switchgear and panels.
  • Provide day to day co-ordination of shop floor personnel and testing personnel.
  • QA of switchgear and panels as required.
  • Occasionally be available to assist on site with switchgear installations.
  • Assist in the production office with running lists.
  • Working in line with the company ISO9001 and QA documentation.
